A deficit of energy

Well, just to prove that the blog isn’t dead (it’s not well and coughing a bit, but it’s not dead), here I go with a small amount of blabbering.

There’s been little blogging recently because the muse has gone on holiday and claimed political asylum somewhere. Football has not been enjoyable at all recently, a couple of occasions have been so dispiriting and unpleasant that I am questioning my sanity once again and finding that there’s not much left (and these occasions were games that we won, ffs). My energy levels, which aren’t too great normally anyway, have slowly ebbed away to the extent that it’s going to be one heck of an effort to drag my carcass to King George’s Field tonight for the game against Haringey Borough. If the trains allow, then I’ll be there in body, but mind and spirit may be at home watching YouTube videos.

Anyway, if I carry on like this then I’ll never get to the game at all, I’ll just go in a different direction, visit the chippy and join the mind and spirit and work out where the muse actually has gone to. It’s a shame because our team is genuinely one that is good to watch, very honest indeed and they give everything, all parameters for a team to get well and truly behind. Hopefully the guys will give me cause for cheer, but in the meantime I am s-o-o-o looking forward to standing on the platform at Clapham Junction, one of the things I look forward to most in the world [/irony].
